    • Executive Committee roles are open to women students only, in line with our mission of empowering women in law.

  • Vice President

    It is not mandatory, but it is ideal for the VP applicant to have a background in UK legal systems.

    Why this role matters: The Vice President is the President’s right hand, helping to guide the society and ensure everything runs smoothly.

    Role & responsibilities

    • Supports the President in leading the society and shares responsibility for smooth operations.

    • Steps in to lead meetings, oversee events and represent the society when the President is unavailable.

    • Oversees logistics of society events and initiatives, assisting with planning, fundraising and execution.

  • (1) Marketing Officer

    Requires a background or strong interest & experience in Marketing and/or Graphic Design (experience with Canva or similar backgrounds is strongly preferred)

    Why this role matters: The Marketing Officer, along with the Social Media Manager, is responsible for building our presence and sharing our story with Cambridge and beyond.

    Responsibilities:

    • Helps manage the society’s online presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, Linktree) and creates engaging content to promote events and initiatives.

    • Produces digital graphics, marketing materials and visual content; takes photos and videos during events for promotion.

    • Designs and publicises promotional materials (flyers, posters etc.) to raise visibility for the society.

    (2) Head of Sponsorships

    Why this role matters: The Head of Sponsorships plays a crucial role in securing the financial and institutional support that enables the Society to deliver events, initiatives, and opportunities for its members. By building and maintaining strong relationships with law firms, chambers, and other sponsors, this role directly supports the Society’s mission to empower and inspire women aspiring to legal careers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead sponsorship strategy and planning to ensure sustainable funding for the Society’s activities.

    • Negotiate sponsorship packages and agreements in line with the Society’s values and needs.

    • Collaborate with the Events and Marketing teams to ensure sponsors receive appropriate visibility and engagement.

    • Keep accurate records of sponsorship commitments and deadlines.

    • Work with the President and Treasurer to integrate sponsorship funding into the Society’s budget.

    (3) Sponsorship Officer

    Why this role matters:
    Sponsorship Officers support the Society’s ability to sustain and grow by assisting in the management of sponsor relationships. They help ensure that the Society continues to receive vital funding and professional opportunities from leading firms and chambers, which directly benefits members through events, resources, and networking.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Head of Sponsorships in securing and managing sponsorship agreements.

    • Conduct research into potential sponsors and prepare background information.

    • Help draft sponsorship proposals and communications.

    • Support the organisation of sponsor-related events (e.g., firm presentations, networking sessions).

    • Ensure that sponsors receive agreed visibility (e.g., logos on materials, acknowledgments at events).

    • Maintain clear and professional correspondence with sponsors on behalf of the Society.

    • Collaborate with other committee members to deliver the benefits promised to sponsors.

    • Keep accurate records of sponsorship-related activities and commitments.

    (4) Graphic Designer

    Why this role matters:
    The Graphic Designer ensures the Society’s identity is visually engaging, professional, and consistent across all platforms. By creating eye-catching materials for events, campaigns, and social media, this role helps the Society reach a wider audience and enhances member engagement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design digital and print materials such as posters, banners, event programmes, and promotional graphics.

    • Work closely with the Marketing & Events team to ensure content is visually consistent with the Society’s brand.

    • Create graphics tailored for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) to promote events and initiatives.
