About Cambridge Women in Law

Cambridge Women in Law is a student-led society committed to empowering and supporting women in their pursuit of legal careers. We aim to foster a strong community where current students and alumni can share experiences, build networks, and champion equality within the legal profession.

Throughout the academic year, the society will host a wide range of events designed to inspire, educate, and connect our members. These include high-profile discussion panels with leading practitioners, speaker evenings with alumni and industry experts, and formal dinners offering opportunities to network in a more intimate setting. Our social calendar is anchored by a formal gala party each year, complemented by Welcome Drinks at the start of term, informal Pub Quiz Nights, cozy Movie Nights, afternoon teas, and themed networking evenings. These events provide opportunities for members to connect across colleges and year groups in a relaxed and celebratory setting.

Career development lies at the heart of our mission. Members will benefit from tailored workshops on vacation schemes, training contracts, and pupillage applications, as well as mooting competitions and mock trials.

By combining professional insight with a vibrant social and academic community, Cambridge Women in Law ensures that our members are supported at every stage of their legal journey.
